MySummit Patient Portal

The MySummit Patient Portal is a full-stack medical web application designed to streamline patient care and administrative workflows. This secure platform provides patients with real-time messaging, appointment scheduling, and online payment processing.

Built with React on the frontend and Laravel (PHP) with MySQL on the backend, the portal leverages Docker for a consistent development environment. The application demonstrates robust full-stack functionality while prioritizing usability, security, and seamless communication between patients and medical staff.

Key features:

Health Tracker – Displays core patient vitals including respiratory rate, blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate, giving patients an at-a-glance view of their recent health data.
Interactive Appointment Calendar – A full calendar view where patients can view, schedule, and edit upcoming appointments directly, reducing back-and-forth phone scheduling.
Secure Messaging – A dedicated messaging system that lets patients communicate directly with doctors and nurses, with full conversation history tracked in one place.
Lab Results – A dedicated view for patients to access their lab results (not shown here).
Payments – An integrated payment view where patients can review billing and make secure online payments without leaving the portal.

Each view was built with both frontend and backend functionality – not static mockups – including real data handling, form validation, and database-driven updates across the health tracker, calendar, messaging, and payment systems.
